The 2026 NFR dates are officially set
Clear the December calendar and locate the cowboy boots you bought during a questionable Vegas shopping spree. The 2026 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is officially scheduled for December 3 through 12 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
That means 10 consecutive nights of championship rodeo, all beginning at 5:45 p.m. Pacific time. There is no rest night tucked into the middle. Rodeo does not pause because somebody is tired, and frankly, that level of commitment makes the average professional sports schedule look a little precious.
The NFR is the season-ending championship for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Contestants compete in seven events: bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding. World championships are determined through season earnings that include money won during the finals, so every round can move the standings.
The complete performance schedule
The official performance schedule lists the same starting time for all 10 rounds:

Several rounds also carry official themes, including Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night on December 7, Military Night on December 9 and Canadian Night on December 10. The final round on December 12 is Wrangler National Patriot Night.
How 2026 NFR tickets work
Here is the part where you need to pay attention, because buying NFR tickets is not the same as wandering up to a casino box office an hour before a lounge act.
General public inventory will be offered through the official MyNFR account system, which uses AXS. According to the official 2026 ticket information, tickets are sold based on availability after season-ticket purchases, and quantities are limited.
Important ticket-sale dates
Mini packages are scheduled to go on sale Thursday, August 13, at noon Pacific time. Those packages cover either the first four performances or the final six performances, and their individual dates cannot be separated.
NFR Access ONLY tickets are scheduled to go on sale Thursday, August 20, at noon Pacific time. Despite the capital letters trying their absolute best, this ticket does not include a seat. It provides admission to the Thomas & Mack Center concourse experiences and designated viewing areas where the rodeo is shown on television screens.
The organizers note that the sale dates are subject to change. Published 2026 prices were still listed as to be determined, so ignore anyone confidently quoting a full official price chart before one appears. Confidence is free. Rodeo tickets are not.
Children age 3 and younger do not need a ticket if they can sit on a parent or guardian’s lap. Families planning to bring small children should still consider the noise, crowds and length of the evening before deciding whether lap seating sounds like a bargain or an endurance event.
What to know about the Thomas & Mack Center
The Thomas & Mack Center is on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus at 4505 South Maryland Parkway. UNLV describes it as an 18,500-seat multipurpose events center, although the available capacity and seating layout can vary by event configuration.
The location is east of the Strip, not directly on Las Vegas Boulevard. That distinction matters. Looking across the valley and declaring something “basically walkable” is how tourists end up sunburned, irritated and negotiating with a six-lane intersection.
