AC/DC Is Bringing the Pregame to the Strip
Back where I’m from in the Midwest, the pregame usually happens beside a pickup truck with a folding chair and a cooler. Las Vegas, naturally, has decided that is not nearly enough.
Before AC/DC takes over Allegiant Stadium, the band is opening an official two-day shop on the Strip with tour merchandise, collectibles, props and limited-edition vinyl. The AC/DC High Voltage Pop Up will be inside the Hard Rock Cafe at 3771 S. Las Vegas Blvd., giving fans a dedicated place to gear up before the stadium show.
The public opening is still ahead, so reports of lines, sellouts or a full-blown fan party would be premature. What is confirmed is plenty substantial: a fan preview on Wednesday, July 30, followed by free public entry on Thursday, July 31, and concert day, Saturday, Aug. 1.
That gives AC/DC fans something Las Vegas does especially well, a pre-show attraction that feels like part of the event instead of a folding merchandise table shoved against a hallway wall.
When and Where Is the AC/DC Pop-Up?
The shop will be at the Hard Rock Cafe, 3771 S. Las Vegas Blvd. That puts it on the south end of the Strip, separate from Allegiant Stadium but within the same general resort corridor.
Confirmed dates and opening hours
- Wednesday, July 30: Fan preview from 7 to 9 p.m. An advance RSVP is required.
- Thursday, July 31: Free public entry from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 1: Free public entry from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The final public session closes one hour before the concert’s scheduled 7 p.m. start. That does not leave much room for leisurely browsing, dinner, transportation and stadium entry if you arrive late in the afternoon. Vegas distances have a way of looking friendly on a map and becoming a different story once crowds, traffic and triple-digit heat join the discussion.
The preview requires an RSVP through the event page. The two public sessions are advertised as free entry, but fans should still check the official page before leaving because temporary-event details can change.
What Will Fans Find Inside?
AC/DC says the pop-up will feature exclusive merchandise, unique collectibles and wearable items. The band also specifically promises limited-edition vinyl unavailable elsewhere, which should get the attention of collectors who have already filled a closet with black concert shirts.
The event page also mentions legendary tour props. That turns the stop into more than a place to buy a hoodie. Fans can browse pieces tied to the band’s touring world, meet other concertgoers and get a closer look at the imagery surrounding the Power Up Tour.
Specific shirt designs, sizes, prices and inventory quantities have not been published on the official Las Vegas page. Neither has a daily restocking schedule. If one particular item matters to you, arriving earlier is the sensible move, but there is no confirmed basis for promising that anything will sell out by noon or be replenished later.
That may sound like the least rock-and-roll advice imaginable, but it is honest. Limited merchandise and thousands of fans are not a combination that rewards sleeping in.
What is actually exclusive?
The clearest confirmed exclusive is the limited-edition vinyl. The broader merchandise selection is described as exclusive by the event organizer, but the official page does not provide a complete product list or distinguish which pieces are unique to Las Vegas.
Fans should also avoid assuming that everything sold at the pop-up will be available at Allegiant Stadium. The shop is promoted as its own fan destination, and its inventory may differ from the concert merchandise stands.
How to Plan the Pop-Up and Concert Together
AC/DC’s Power Up Tour concert at Allegiant Stadium is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026. The Pretty Reckless will appear as the special guest. Stadium lots open at 4 p.m., doors open at 5 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m.
If the pop-up is your first stop on concert day, the cleanest plan is to visit well before its 6 p.m. closing time. Hard Rock Cafe and Allegiant Stadium are not the same venue, and fans still need to account for transportation, security screening and the walk through a very hot piece of Las Vegas.
It is also worth reviewing Allegiant Stadium’s bag rules before buying anything bulky. A shopping bag full of merchandise does not automatically become an approved stadium bag. Fans who are staying nearby may want to return purchases to their hotel before heading to the concert.
A practical game plan for Saturday
- Start early: Visit the pop-up during the morning or early afternoon rather than treating 5:45 p.m. as a reasonable arrival time.
- Leave room for the heat: The Strip and stadium area can be punishing in August, especially when a walking route looks shorter than it feels.
- Check stadium policies: Review current bag, parking and transportation information before leaving for Allegiant Stadium.
- Protect your purchases: Do not assume a poster, record or large shopping bag can go through stadium security.
- Use the official event page: Confirm the pop-up schedule before heading out, particularly if you are building the rest of the day around it.
A Proper Warm-Up for a Stadium-Sized Night
There is something fitting about AC/DC giving fans a separate place to gather before the amplifiers come on. The band has spent decades turning simple ideas into enormous ones: a school uniform, a bell, a cannon and a guitar riff that can make an entire stadium lose its mind.
The Las Vegas pop-up follows the same formula. On paper, it is a temporary store. In practice, it has the ingredients for a full fan meetup, complete with rare vinyl, tour props and enough black clothing to make the desert sun feel personally offended.
Whether it becomes a packed scene will depend on the fans who walk through the doors. The setup itself is confirmed, though, and it gives ticket holders and collectors a clear reason to make an extra Strip stop before AC/DC reaches Allegiant Stadium.
For a guy who grew up thinking a big concert meant driving two hours to the nearest arena, this still feels a little unreal. In Las Vegas, even the merchandise stand gets its own address, two-day schedule and preview night. Honestly, that sounds about right.
