Las Vegas is set to get a new gathering place built around women’s sports. The Sports Bra, the Portland-founded bar and restaurant created by Jenny Nguyen, plans to open its first Las Vegas franchise in 2027.
The location is no longer a mystery. The company has announced that the venue will occupy 4080 Paradise Road, minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, Sphere, the Las Vegas Convention Center and UNLV. The space requires a full build-out, so a specific opening date has not been released.
What The Sports Bra Is Bringing to Las Vegas
The Sports Bra centers women’s sports rather than treating them as secondary programming. Nguyen opened the original Portland location in 2022, creating a bar where women athletes and competitions receive the attention normally reserved for major men’s leagues.
The Las Vegas venue is expected to follow that model. The company says its screens will feature local and national women’s sports, including the Las Vegas Aces, UNLV women’s basketball, a planned Las Vegas USL Super League soccer club and a newly announced professional women’s hockey team. Programming is also expected to include leagues such as the NWSL, PWHL and Athletes Unlimited. Local high school, club and youth teams are also part of the announced programming vision.
Exact television schedules will depend on seasons, broadcast availability and the venue’s operating hours. Fans should expect detailed listings and watch-party announcements closer to opening.
The Address Is Near the Strip, Not Inside a Resort
The announced address, 4080 Paradise Road, places the bar east of the Strip in a busy corridor used by locals, students, hospitality workers and convention visitors. Its proximity to Sphere, the convention center and UNLV could make it accessible to several distinct crowds without putting it inside a casino resort.
Parking arrangements, rideshare procedures and other transportation details have not been announced. Those practical points will matter once the build-out is complete and an opening date is set.
The Las Vegas Location Will Be a Franchise
This will not be a second company-operated version of the Portland bar. The Las Vegas location is an officially announced franchise led by Esther Taylor, owner of Taylor Legacy Holdings LLC.
The company has also identified members of the local leadership team. Amber Gonzalez is slated to serve as general manager, Shaster Powell as front-of-house and bar manager, Jose Lazo as chef, and Nytashia Gonzalez in community outreach and marketing.
The Las Vegas project is part of a broader franchise expansion. The Sports Bra has announced locations in Boston, Indianapolis, St. Louis and Portland, Maine, in addition to Las Vegas. Opening timelines vary, and not every location has announced a firm debut date.
Food and Drinks Will Follow the Portland Model
A complete Las Vegas menu and prices have not been published, but the company has shared more than a general promise of bar food. Chef Jose Lazo will oversee the culinary program, which is expected to include signature dishes from the original Sports Bra.
The venue also plans to offer vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free choices. According to the company, the local team intends to prioritize food, beverages and other products from local women-owned and women-operated businesses when possible.
Specific Las Vegas dishes, cocktails, alcohol-free drinks, prices and happy-hour plans remain unannounced.
The Venue Will Be Family-Friendly
The Las Vegas location is planned as a family-friendly bar and restaurant, consistent with the original Portland concept. The brand’s stated mission is to create a space that supports girls and women in sports while welcoming a broad community of fans.
That positioning could distinguish it from many traditional sports bars near the resort corridor. Age policies for later hours, seating arrangements and reservation rules have not yet been released.
