Station Casinos is testing TrustedTap, a digital funding system that allows players to use Apple Pay and a debit card to fund slot play directly at the game.
The field trial is underway at Durango casino bars, all Seventy Six taverns and Wildfire Anthem. The technology remains subject to review and approval by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
On the surface, this is a convenience upgrade.
Strategically, it is much bigger.
Station Casinos is testing whether the smartphone can become the new bridge between a player’s bank account and the slot machine. A Tap Could Replace the ATM
TrustedTap was created by Adostics around a simple process.

A player taps a smartphone against a TrustedTap placard or scans a QR code near the game. The player then selects a debit card stored in Apple Wallet and confirms the transaction using biometric authentication.
