Halloween dates are better than regular dates.
There. I said it. Dinner is nice, but dinner followed by getting chased through a haunted house tells you way more about a person.
October in Las Vegas gives couples a ridiculous amount to work with. You can go cute with pumpkins and cider, creepy with haunted artifacts, sexy with rooftop cocktails, or completely chaotic with costumes and thousands of strangers downtown.
So skip the boring "What do you want to do?" conversation. Here are 13 Halloween date ideas around Las Vegas for 2026, ranked only by how much drama you want to introduce into the relationship.
1. Scream Together at Universal Horror Unleashed
If you're still in that early dating stage where both of you are pretending to be cooler than you really are, this should fix that.
Universal Horror Unleashed at AREA15 is a permanent, climate-controlled horror attraction built around four cinematic haunted houses, roaming characters, live entertainment and themed food and drinks.
For fall 2026, Universal is also bringing back seasonal horror elements including HamiKuma. So even though this place operates year-round, October gets extra weird.
Tickets are date-specific, and Universal is currently operating Thursday through Sunday from 4 to 10:30 p.m. The attraction says many guests spend several hours exploring the houses and everything around them.
That's perfect for a date because the night already has structure. You're not wandering around a casino asking each other what you want to do next.
You go in. You scream. You grab a drink. You laugh about who screamed louder. Then you immediately lie about it.
Date vibe: High-energy, playful, horror obsessed.
2. Test the Relationship at The Haunted Museum
This is not the same kind of scary.
Zak Bagans' The Haunted Museum is inside the historic Wengert Mansion near Downtown Las Vegas and takes visitors through rooms filled with paranormal artifacts, strange historical objects and items connected to some very dark stories.
A haunted house scares you for five seconds. This place gives you something creepy to discuss in the car twenty minutes later.
That's more fun.
It also creates one of my favorite kinds of date-night debates. One person says, "That object is absolutely cursed." The other says, "It's an old chair."
By the end of the night, everybody has revealed themselves.
Date vibe: Paranormal, creepy, conversation heavy.
3. Pick Pumpkins at Gilcrease Orchard
Yes, I know we're in Las Vegas. Just trust me.
Gilcrease Orchard is doing its Fall Harvest through Oct. 31, with pumpkin picking, a corn maze, wagon rides and those apple cider donuts people suddenly become very protective over.
This is the cute date.
Wear something you don't mind getting dusty. Pick a pumpkin together. Take the photos. Get the donuts. Walk the orchard before Las Vegas remembers it lives in the Mojave Desert.
Fall Harvest runs on selected mornings, generally Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Advance admission tickets are required during the season, so don't turn spontaneity into standing outside the gate looking disappointed.
And please don't spend twenty minutes pretending you don't care about taking photos.
You came to a pumpkin patch on a date.
We all know why we're here.
Date vibe: Cute, casual, daytime, photo friendly.
4. Turn the Pumpkin Date Into a Road Trip at Moapa Valley Cornmaze
If Gilcrease feels too easy, take the relationship into the desert.
Moapa Valley Cornmaze in Logandale gives you a full fall day with a nine-acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, farm activities, hayrides, food and firepits.
Then the sun goes down and things get less wholesome.
Selected evenings add separately ticketed attractions including a haunted corn maze, haunted hayride and zombie paintball.
This is actually an excellent date because you can build the whole thing around your mood.
Go in daylight if you're cute.
Stay for the haunted maze if you're fun.
Reserve a firepit if one of you is dangerously good at planning dates.
The 2026 season runs into Nov. 1, and operating hours vary by date.
Date vibe: Road trip, fall adventure, half cute and half horror.
5. Get Halloween Cocktails at The Haunting on Spring Mountain
Not every Halloween date needs somebody with a chainsaw.
Sometimes you need a bar that understood the assignment.
The Sand Dollar Lounge transforms into The Haunting on Spring Mountain during October, covering the longtime neighborhood bar in spooky décor and adding Halloween cocktails to the regular live-music energy.
This works especially well for people who want Halloween atmosphere without committing the entire evening to an attraction.
Grab drinks. Listen to live music. Judge everybody else's costumes quietly between yourselves.
That's romance.
The Sand Dollar is open late and doesn't take reservations, so busy weekend nights may require a little patience.
Date vibe: Casual, cocktails, live music, locals night.
6. Check Into The Haunted Inn at Palms
This one is for couples who find normal bars emotionally under-stimulating.
The Haunted Inn at Palms runs through Oct. 31 and turns a casino space into a fictional supernatural hotel with performers, comedy, séances, creepy characters, theatrical food and cocktails.
And there's no cover.
You have to be 21 or older, but once you're inside, you're free to decide how deep into the weirdness you want to go.
The cocktails can arrive in blood bags, creepy vessels and other presentations that have absolutely no business being this entertaining.
This is a good date when you want something interactive but don't want to spend the entire night standing in lines for haunted houses.
Also, Palms parking is free.
I love romance, but I also love not paying twenty dollars to leave my car somewhere.
Date vibe: Immersive, funny, cocktails, easy night out.
7. Have Edgar Allan Poe Third-Wheel the Date
If your Halloween taste leans more elegant darkness than screaming clown, AREA15 has something much moodier.
Night of Poe combines immersive theater, live music and themed cocktails inspired by Edgar Allan Poe.
The remaining October performances include Oct. 9 and 10.
This is the date for somebody who wants Halloween without feeling like they're attending a carnival.
It's theatrical. It's dark. It's a little dramatic.
Which is exactly what Poe would've wanted.
Probably.
Date vibe: Artsy, theatrical, moody.
8. Go to Monster Prom Because Adult Prom Is Obviously Better
Regular prom had rules, chaperones and somebody crying in a bathroom.
Let's try again.
AREA15 is hosting Monster Prom on Oct. 29 with a live band, DJ, costume contest and a bar built for monsters.
That is a much better prom.
Dress up together or coordinate costumes if your relationship has reached that level of trust.
Just don't become the couple that spends three weeks arguing because one person thought "matching costume" meant Gomez and Morticia while the other person bought a banana suit.
Although, honestly, that's kind of iconic.
Date vibe: Costumes, dancing, playful chaos.
9. Do Dinner and a Haunted House Party at Kassi
Halloween does not require fake blood at all times.
On Oct. 28, Kassi Beach House at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is bringing back its annual Haunted House Party with DJs, featured cocktails and costumes.
This one has an obvious date-night advantage.
Kassi is already a restaurant.
So instead of figuring out dinner, then transportation, then the party, you can eat coastal Italian food and let the night gradually turn into Halloween.
Very civilized.
Until the costumes arrive.
Date vibe: Dinner, drinks, stylish Halloween energy.
10. Make the Cocktails Yourselves
Watching somebody make your drink is nice.
Making one together gives you somebody else to blame when it tastes weird.
The Cabinet of Curiosities at Horseshoe Las Vegas has a Spooky Seasonal Cocktail Masterclass scheduled for Oct. 29, 30 and 31, plus Nov. 1.
The experience is 21 and older and walks guests through cocktail techniques before letting them experiment with spirits, mixers and garnishes.
You get three drinks, plus a recipe card and souvenir apron with the standard class package.
Then there's another move.
After class, try finding The Lock, the hidden speakeasy inside The Cabinet of Curiosities. You need to figure out how to get through the secret entrance before the cocktails even start.
It's basically a date night designed for people who get bored easily.
Date vibe: Interactive, cocktails, slightly competitive.
11. Dress Up and Go 60 Floors Above Downtown
If your Halloween costume deserves better lighting, take it upstairs.
Way upstairs.
Haunted Heights takes over Legacy Club at Circa on Halloween night.
The rooftop lounge sits on the 60th floor with huge views across the Las Vegas Valley. On Oct. 31, it adds Halloween cocktails, DJs and a costume contest with a $5,000 prize.
Admission is complimentary, although tables can be purchased.
This is the Halloween date for people who want to dress up without spending the night elbow-to-elbow inside a giant club.
Just check the costume rules first. Full masks, simulated weapons and full-face paint aren't allowed.
Your elaborate masked demon concept may need editing.
Date vibe: Dressy, rooftop, cocktails, sexy Halloween.
12. Watch Fremont Street Turn Into One Giant Costume Party
This one costs nothing unless you start making decisions.
Fremont Street Experience goes full Halloween on Oct. 31 with Costumes Under the Canopy, free live entertainment and a costume contest.
It's loud. It's crowded. It's weird. It's downtown Vegas on Halloween.
That's the point.
You don't even need a detailed plan. Walk the canopy. Grab a drink somewhere. Watch the costumes. Catch some live music. Find food when you need it.
If your date needs constant luxury and perfect table service, maybe not.
If both of you enjoy watching humanity perform at full volume, absolutely.
Date vibe: Free, chaotic, people-watching perfection.
13. Do the Parade of Mischief, Then Go Get Dinner
This is my pick for the couple who wants Halloween without making Halloween their entire personality.
Downtown Summerlin's Parade of Mischief runs at 6 p.m. on select Friday and Saturday nights through Oct. 24.
The remaining dates are Oct. 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24.
The parade is free and fills Park Centre Drive with Halloween floats, performers and local youth.
Then you're already at Downtown Summerlin with restaurants, dessert and places to walk afterward.
That's a very easy date.
And easy doesn't mean boring. It means nobody spent forty minutes in the car saying, "I thought YOU made the reservation."
Date vibe: Easy, inexpensive, relaxed.
Pick the Date Based on How Long You've Been Together
First date?
Go somewhere with built-in activity. The Haunted Inn, The Haunting on Spring Mountain or Parade of Mischief gives you plenty to talk about without locking you into a four-hour commitment.
New relationship?
Universal Horror Unleashed is excellent. Fear removes fake cool very quickly.
Long-term couple?
Go to Moapa Valley, get lost in the corn maze and discover which one of you becomes weirdly confident about navigation despite having absolutely no idea where you're going.
Anniversary-level romance?
Dress up, hit Haunted Heights and drink cocktails overlooking the city.
Situationship?
Honestly, The Haunted Museum.
The energy already matches.
Halloween Is Basically Built for Dating
Halloween removes one of the worst parts of date night: trying too hard to seem interesting.
The night is already interesting.
There are costumes. There are monsters. There are cocktails. There are pumpkins. There are weird people doing weird things all over Las Vegas.
You just have to pick a lane.
Go cute.
Go creepy.
Go sexy.
Go completely unhinged.
Just please don't make your big Halloween date dinner at the same restaurant you visit every other Saturday.
October gave you options.
Use them.
