The Cromwell Is Out, Vanderpump Is In
The Cromwell has officially given way to The Vanderpump Hotel, a 188-room boutique resort from Caesars Entertainment and television personality and restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump.
The hotel celebrated its grand opening on June 11, 2026, at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. The debut marks Vanderpump’s first hotel venture and puts her name on one of the most visible corners of the Strip.
The property is not a new tower. Caesars transformed the former Cromwell through a broad redesign covering its rooms, check-in area, casino floor and public spaces. The result keeps the building’s small scale while giving it a much sharper identity. In a town full of 3,000-room giants, 188 rooms is practically a secret handshake.
Caesars first announced the conversion in March 2025. The company said The Cromwell would continue operating during the transformation.
Inside the 188-Room Hotel
Lisa Vanderpump and design partner Nick Alain handled the redesign through Vanderpump Alain. Their style runs through the guest rooms, lobby, lighting, furnishings and casino spaces.
Rooms Trade Neon for a Moodier Look
The hotel has 188 guest rooms and suites, including 21 suites. Caesars describes the look as “industrial romantic,” with moss-green tones, dusty lilac accents, reflective surfaces and a mix of gold and silver details.
The palette is calmer than the hot-pink fantasy some Vanderpump fans may expect. It still carries her fingerprints, just without turning every room into a giant flower wall. Las Vegas restraint is still Las Vegas, after all.
Vanderpump and Alain also selected custom furnishings and lighting for the property. Caesars says the rooms were designed as a quieter retreat from the casino floor, which sits only an elevator ride away.
The Casino and Public Spaces Also Changed
The work went beyond the rooms. The reception area, check-in space, gaming floor and common areas were reworked as part of the conversion. The hotel remains a casino resort, not a nongaming boutique property hiding from the Strip.
British references appear throughout the resort, including a red telephone booth, a classic English taxi installation and artwork tied to Vanderpump’s life and career. Chandeliers from the former property were also reused with new crystals and custom shades.
The compact footprint remains one of the hotel’s biggest differences. Guests do not need hiking boots, trail mix and a GPS signal to make it from the room to the casino.
Soleia Beach Takes Over the Rooftop
The rooftop attraction is Soleia Beach, an open-air pool complex located 11 stories above the Strip. Caesars lists two pools, six hot tubs, cabanas, bungalows, daybeds, poolside food and a full bar.
The broader rooftop venue covers about 65,000 square feet and can also host private events. Its location gives guests wide views over the Strip, with the Bellagio area, Caesars Palace and Flamingo Road all close by.
Soleia Beach Is Adults-Only
Soleia Beach is a 21-and-older rooftop pool open to hotel guests and non-hotel guests. Caesars describes it as an adults-only alternative to the larger dayclub experience found at several other Strip resorts.
The rooftop combines pool access, drinks, food, cabanas and Strip views in a smaller setting than the massive party pools found elsewhere in Las Vegas. Guests should check current access policies, operating hours and reservation availability before visiting.
The age restriction applies to Soleia Beach, not the entire Vanderpump Hotel.
Dining, Cocktails and Nightlife
GIADA, Giada De Laurentiis’ Italian restaurant, remains part of the property. The hotel also includes Starbucks, quick-service dining and the casino sportsbook.
The new Vanderpump-branded addition is Gigolo, a cocktail bar named for Vanderpump’s late Pomeranian, Giggy. The lounge continues the hotel’s dark, polished design and gives the property a signature bar directly tied to its new identity.
Drai’s After Hours remains in the basement. That means the building still covers both sides of the Vegas clock: rooftop sunshine by day, underground nightclub after dark. Sleep is available in the middle, if your schedule allows it.
The hotel also expands Vanderpump’s existing Caesars portfolio in Las Vegas. Her other venues include Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace, Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas and Pinky’s by Vanderpump at Flamingo Las Vegas.
Why the Rebrand Matters
The biggest change is not the room count or even the pool. It is the identity.
The Cromwell spent years as one of the Strip’s smallest casino hotels. Its location was elite, but its brand competed for attention against much larger neighbors. Caesars has now attached that real estate to a hospitality name with a built-in audience and several established Las Vegas venues.
The move also gives Caesars a boutique counterpoint to its megaresorts. The Vanderpump Hotel still has table games, slots, restaurants, bars and nightlife, but visitors can cross the property without logging a marathon’s worth of steps.
For Vanderpump, the hotel is a major leap beyond licensing a restaurant or lounge. Her design company helped shape the rooms and public areas, while her name now sits on the entire resort.
For Las Vegas, it is another reminder that an old Strip building does not need a wrecking ball to become new again. Sometimes it just needs 188 redesigned rooms, an adults-only rooftop pool and a very large dose of personality.
