Why Lee’s Family Forum Is Becoming One of Las Vegas’ Busiest Sports Venues in 2026

Lee’s Family Forum has emerged as a busy Henderson sports hub by hosting professional hockey, indoor football, playoff games and other live events throughout 2026.

Henderson’s arena has found its lane

Lee’s Family Forum does not need to outmuscle Allegiant Stadium or trade elbows with T-Mobile Arena. That is not its game.

The Henderson arena has built a different kind of sports calendar in 2026, one driven by frequent home dates, overlapping seasons and a building that can switch from ice to indoor turf and then reset for another live event. The result is a venue that stays in motion while the valley’s largest stadiums wait for their next blockbuster.

The engine starts with the Henderson Silver Knights. Their 2025-26 American Hockey League schedule included 36 regular-season home games at Lee’s Family Forum. Many of those dates landed between January and April 2026, giving the arena a dependable winter and spring anchor.

Then came bonus hockey. Henderson advanced through the opening round of the Calder Cup Playoffs and hosted the first two games of its Pacific Division semifinal against the Colorado Eagles. The Silver Knights won both home games, including a double-overtime grinder, before their season ended in Colorado.

That playoff run mattered. Postseason dates are not promised when a season begins. They drop onto an arena calendar after the regular-season machinery is already running. In Henderson, those games extended hockey deeper into spring and added the kind of high-pressure nights that make a smaller building feel enormous.

The numbers begin with a full hockey schedule

Calling a venue “busy” can turn into marketing fog unless there is something concrete behind it. Here, the clearest evidence is the hockey inventory. Thirty-six scheduled home games over an AHL season is a major operating load before playoff dates, football games, concerts or community events enter the picture.

Lee’s Family Forum also has a track record of high utilization. When the building was renamed in April 2024, the Vegas Golden Knights reported that it had hosted more than 350 events during its first two years. That historical total does not establish an exact event count for 2026, but it shows the arena was designed and operated as a high-turnover building from the jump.

The venue opened in March 2022 and was renamed Lee’s Family Forum in April 2024. It has 5,567 fixed seats for hockey and indoor football, with configurations that can change for concerts, basketball, volleyball and other events. That size is the sweet spot. Big enough to sound like a playoff building. Compact enough to host events that do not need a Strip-sized room.

Indoor football keeps the building working through summer

Once the hockey season winds down, the Vegas Knight Hawks take over. Their 2026 Indoor Football League season gave Lee’s Family Forum another run of home games from April into July.

The Knight Hawks finished the regular season strongly enough to host a first-round playoff game against the Arizona Rattlers on Aug. 2. Arizona won 47-36, ending Vegas’ season. There was no IFL championship game awarded to Lee’s Family Forum, but the home playoff date still capped a substantial stretch of indoor football in Henderson.

That distinction is important. Playoff games are real calendar wins. Rumored championship bids are not. What Lee’s Family Forum actually had in 2026 was meaningful postseason action in two sports, first with the Silver Knights and then with the Knight Hawks.

Why the two-team setup works

Hockey and indoor football make a strong tag team because their seasons overlap without completely colliding. The Silver Knights own much of fall and winter. The Knight Hawks push the sports calendar into spring and summer. When both teams qualify for the postseason, the building gains extra dates at the most valuable point of each season.

The sports are also built for an intimate arena. Hockey benefits from fans sitting close to the glass. Indoor football puts the entire field within easy view. There is no upper-deck telescope experience here. The compact setup keeps the noise trapped inside, which is exactly what a home crowd wants.

This is not minor-league sports pretending to be the Strip. It is Henderson leaning into its own market. Shorter building. Close seats. Fast games. Plenty of local jerseys. Different playbook, solid results.

A flexible calendar fills the gaps

Sports provide the backbone, but they are not the whole schedule. The Lee’s Family Forum event calendar also carries concerts, touring productions, business gatherings and community events. Announced late-2026 bookings have included Gutfeld Live, the Ready, Set, Expo and a Phil Wickham concert.

Those events demonstrate the building’s larger advantage. It is not locked into one playing surface or one audience. A dark night between games can become a concert, expo or family event. That flexibility is how a midsize arena keeps working after the final horn.

Not every event is a sports event, of course, and the publicly listed calendar can change as new bookings are announced. There is no confirmed basis for claiming more than 150 event nights in 2026. The stronger case is simpler: two resident professional teams produced a large supply of games, both hosted playoff action, and other bookings occupied portions of the calendar around them.

What fans should know before heading over

Lee’s Family Forum sits at 200 South Green Valley Parkway in Henderson. Its smaller footprint can make arrival and navigation more manageable than a major stadium trip, but parking policies vary by event. The Silver Knights and Knight Hawks have offered free parking for their home games, while other events may use separate parking prices or procedures.

Check the specific event listing before leaving home. Confirm the start time, door time, parking terms and bag policy. Arena operations can change between hockey, football, concerts and expos. That is the price of versatility. The building changes uniforms almost as often as the teams do.

Why 2026 stands out

Lee’s Family Forum has been busy because its calendar is layered, not because of one giant event. The Silver Knights supplied a full AHL home schedule and playoff hockey. The Knight Hawks carried sports into summer and earned a home playoff game. Concerts and other bookings filled additional dates around those resident teams.

There is also another hockey season waiting in the wings. The Silver Knights’ 2026-27 schedule will return regular-season games to Henderson in the fall, restarting the cycle after the summer football run.

That is the winning formula. Lee’s Family Forum can finish one season, flip the floor and start another without waiting months for its next crowd. It may not host the valley’s biggest games, but few local buildings grind through as many different assignments.

In sports terms, this arena is the utility player every roster needs. Hockey tonight. Football next. A live show after that. No drama. Just reps.
