Henderson Sport & Social Targets Fall 2026 Opening

Henderson Sport & Social is scheduled to open in October 2026 as a major indoor destination for sports, fitness, dining and family entertainment.

West Henderson Fieldhouse Gets a New Name

Henderson’s first fieldhouse is under construction and targeting an October 2026 grand opening under a new name, Henderson Sport & Social.

KemperSports announced the new identity in May for the two-level sports and entertainment complex formerly known as the West Henderson Fieldhouse. The approximately 180,000-square-foot venue is being built near the corner of St. Rose and Maryland parkways, behind Chicken N Pickle in West Henderson.

The project is more than a proposal working its way through City Hall. Construction began in May 2025, the steel frame was topped off in February 2026, and city officials have continued to describe the project as on schedule for a fall opening. The latest announcement narrows that target to October.

That distinction matters. Around Southern Nevada, an announced project and a building with steel in the air are two very different things. Back where I’m from, you did not start planning your rec league until you could see the walls. Henderson Sport & Social has reached that much more convincing stage.

The $70 million complex is being developed through a public-private partnership between the City of Henderson and KemperSports. KemperSports will operate the venue and is contributing $10 million, according to the city. The remaining one-time project costs are being covered through a public infrastructure bond sale, the West Henderson Development Fund and the City Municipal Facilities Fund.

What Henderson Sport & Social Will Include

The complex is designed to combine organized sports, fitness, food and family entertainment in one year-round indoor destination. It is a much broader setup than a standard recreation center with a gym floor and a vending machine humming in the hallway.

Courts, Turf and Fitness

Current plans call for four basketball courts that can be converted for volleyball and other court sports, including pickleball. Two hybrid turf fields totaling about 40,000 square feet are planned for activities such as indoor soccer, box lacrosse and indoor football.

The facility will also have a full fitness center, along with spaces for leagues, clinics, practices, tournaments and community programming. Flexible event rooms are planned for birthday parties, private gatherings and other group uses.

The mix gives the venue two potential audiences. Henderson residents will have another place for regular recreation and league play, while regional tournaments could bring visiting teams and their families into West Henderson. The city has projected that the facility will generate economic activity, although the actual impact will depend on bookings, attendance and spending after it opens.

A Two-Level Family Entertainment Center

A roughly 30,000-square-foot family entertainment component is expected to include bowling, laser tag, miniature golf and an arcade. Plans also include food and beverage service, including a full-service restaurant and bar.

The official Henderson Sport & Social website presents the venue as a place where a tournament, family outing, workout or dinner can happen under the same roof. That is where the “Social” part of the name earns its keep. A parent can bring a team to play, siblings can find something to do, and everybody can eat afterward without organizing a small caravan across town.

KemperSports has also identified a double-decker entertainment center as a defining feature of the property. The company says the goal is to give league nights, birthday parties, tournaments and casual visits the same shared destination rather than separating sports from the social side of the experience.

How the Project Reached This Point

The fieldhouse was introduced for public feedback in May 2024 and received City Council approval in July 2024. In December of that year, the council approved a design and construction agreement involving Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and Klai Juba Wald Architecture + Interiors.

The city broke ground on May 21, 2025. By February 2026, the steel frame of the two-story building had been completed, and Henderson reported that construction remained on schedule. KemperSports unveiled the Henderson Sport & Social name and logo in May 2026 while confirming the October opening target.

What Residents Can Expect

Henderson residents are expected to receive a 20% discount on recreational programming and activities. That is one of the clearest direct benefits attached to the city’s partnership with the private operator.

Several practical details are still to come. The venue has not yet published a full schedule of leagues, tournaments, classes or community programs. Comprehensive pricing for fitness memberships, court access, parties and entertainment attractions also has not been announced.

Those details will determine how often local families use the facility after the opening-day excitement settles down. A large building can look impressive in a rendering, but residents will eventually judge it by ordinary questions: What does a league cost? Can I get a court after work? Is there something for my kids? How much is dinner? That is the heartland test, and honestly, it works just fine in Henderson too.

What Comes Next Before Opening Day

The immediate milestone is completing construction, outfitting the sports and entertainment areas, and preparing the building for public use. KemperSports must also roll out registration, membership and event-booking information before customers can begin making firm plans.

October 2026 remains a target rather than a guarantee. Construction schedules and opening preparations can change, particularly for a complex with athletic facilities, restaurant operations and multiple entertainment attractions. For now, however, both the city and operator continue to point to a fall debut.

If that schedule holds, Henderson will enter the cooler part of the year with a substantial new indoor recreation option at 3375 St. Rose Parkway. For a community accustomed to planning around triple-digit heat, an air-conditioned place to play soccer, shoot baskets, bowl and grab dinner sounds less like a luxury and more like solid civic planning.
