M Resort’s Second Tower Is Already Open
If you had December 1 circled on your Vegas calendar, there is one important correction to make: you do not need to wait until 2026. M Resort Spa Casino’s second hotel tower opened to the public on December 1, 2025.
That is good news for travelers who want more breathing room than they typically find in the middle of the Strip. The Henderson resort now has 765 rooms and suites, nearly double its previous capacity. The new tower contributes 375 modern guest rooms, according to the resort.
Back where I’m from, adding 375 hotel rooms would qualify as a whole new hotel. In Vegas, we attach them to an existing resort and call it an expansion. This city remains wonderfully unreasonable.
The project cost approximately $206 million and was completed ahead of its original construction schedule, according to PENN Entertainment’s opening announcement. PENN owns and operates M Resort, so visitors should not expect MGM Rewards benefits here. The applicable loyalty program is PENN Play.
What Was Added to the Property?
The biggest addition is straightforward: 375 new rooms in a second tower. M Resort describes them as modern accommodations designed around comfort, style, and desert views. The resort’s elevated position near the southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard also gives guests broad views across the valley, including views toward the Strip from parts of the property.
The expansion went beyond sleeping space. The 15,000-square-foot Montese Ballroom opened in October 2025, increasing M Resort’s combined indoor and outdoor meeting and event space to more than 100,000 square feet. That matters even if you are not attending a convention. More group capacity can influence room demand, restaurant traffic, and the overall energy of the resort on busy dates.
One amenity visitors should not expect from this project is a new lazy river. M Resort already has a large pool and events piazza, but the confirmed expansion announcements focused on the hotel tower, ballroom, refreshed casino features, and dining. That existing pool area remains a substantial part of the resort experience, particularly when seasonal operations are underway.
Meril Brings an Emeril Lagasse Concept to Henderson
The dining headline is Meril, the Contemporary American restaurant associated with chef Emeril Lagasse and named for his daughter. It is the second location of the concept, which originated in New Orleans.
Meril was announced alongside the tower project and is now open. The concept features globally influenced dishes in a more approachable neighborhood-restaurant setting than the white-tablecloth temples people sometimes associate with celebrity chefs. That feels like a natural match for M Resort, where you can have a proper Vegas dinner without every meal turning into a three-hour financial decision.
The resort also maintains a broader restaurant and bar lineup that includes Anthony’s Prime Steak & Seafood, Marinelli’s, Raiders Tavern & Grill, Vig Deli, and Baby Cakes Artisan Bakery. Specific operating hours can change, so check the resort’s dining pages before building an evening around a particular venue.
What the Expansion Means for Visitors
M Resort sits at the southeast corner of St. Rose Parkway and Las Vegas Boulevard in Henderson, south of the main Strip resort corridor. It is a different kind of Vegas base camp.
