August Opens With 12 Straight Home Games
The Las Vegas Aviators are about to turn Downtown Summerlin into baseball central. August starts with a season-long 12-game homestand at Las Vegas Ballpark, followed by another six-game home series near the end of the month. That is plenty of baseball, plenty of cold drinks and no shortage of chances to catch the reigning Pacific Coast League champions.
The biggest update is already in the standings. Las Vegas won the PCL's first half and clinched a place in the 2026 playoffs on June 20. The Aviators are not scrambling for the final postseason ticket. They already punched it. Now August is about sharpening the roster, staying healthy and carrying some serious momentum into September.
The official homestand announcement listed Las Vegas at 62-42 entering its Aug. 2 road finale in Oklahoma City, tied for the best overall record in Triple-A at that point. That is not a team hanging around the race. That is a club setting the pace.
Tacoma Arrives First
The Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, open the homestand with six games from Tuesday, Aug. 4, through Sunday, Aug. 9. The first five games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Sunday finale starts at 6:05 p.m.

The Aviators return to Las Vegas Ballpark later in the month for a six-game series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, from Aug. 25 through Aug. 30. Fans should confirm individual start times through the official Aviators schedule before heading out.
That series is the last chance to see the Aviators at home in August. It also lands close enough to the postseason for every roster move to feel bigger. What Is at Stake for Las Vegas?
The playoff math is refreshingly simple. Las Vegas won the first half of the PCL season, so its postseason place is secure. The Aviators are scheduled to host the second-half champion in Game 1 of the best-of-three PCL championship series at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Las Vegas Ballpark.
That changes the August conversation. These are not elimination games. They are preparation games with consequences. Las Vegas can evaluate pitchers, build reliable bullpen roles and see which hitters are ready for high-leverage September at-bats.
The Aviators also enter this run as the defending PCL champions.
