August brings 18 Aviators home games to Summerlin
August baseball is coming in hot at Las Vegas Ballpark. The Las Vegas Aviators have 18 home games scheduled during the month, beginning with a season-long 12-game homestand against the Tacoma Rainiers and Sacramento River Cats.
The first pitch comes Tuesday, Aug. 4, when Tacoma arrives for a six-game series running through Sunday, Aug. 9. Sacramento follows from Tuesday, Aug. 11, through Sunday, Aug. 16. After a road trip, the Aviators return to Summerlin for six games against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys from Tuesday, Aug. 25, through Sunday, Aug. 30.
That is three series, 18 games and plenty of chances to catch the defending Pacific Coast League champions. It is a serious chunk of the schedule packed into one month. Baseball fans, your August calendar just filled up.
The Aviators are the Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics and compete in the Pacific Coast League. They entered the Tacoma series with a 62-42 overall record after winning the PCL’s first-half title. That title already secured Las Vegas a place in the 2026 league playoffs, so this is not a desperate chase for a berth. It is a playoff-bound club preparing for another postseason run.
The Aviators’ official homestand announcement lists 7:05 p.m. starts for the Tuesday-through-Saturday games against Tacoma and Sacramento. Three August series worth circling
Tacoma opens the month
Tacoma, the Seattle Mariners’ Triple-A affiliate, gets the first swing at Las Vegas from Aug. 4 through Aug. 9. The Rainiers and Aviators share the PCL West, which gives the series more bite than a routine summer set.

There is also a strong local-sports hook on Friday, Aug. 14. The scheduled promotion is an Aviators and Raiders branded jersey giveaway. The following night brings another collectible, making the back half of the Sacramento series one of the month’s strongest promotional stretches.
Sugar Land closes the home slate
The Sugar Land Space Cowboys, Houston’s Triple-A affiliate, arrive for the final August homestand from Aug. 25 through Aug. 30. Unlike Tacoma and Sacramento, Sugar Land competes in the PCL East. It is a fresh matchup after two straight West Division series.
The Sugar Land set includes daily promotions, a Friday giveaway and a special Sunday event. It also gives fans one final full week of August baseball in Summerlin before the regular-season calendar turns to September.
Fireworks, jerseys and ballpark giveaways
The month’s official giveaway and fireworks calendar is loaded, but fans should pay close attention to dates and gate times. Promotional inventory can be limited, and several featured items are reserved for the first 2,000 fans through the gates.
- Friday, Aug. 7: A postgame fireworks show follows the game against Tacoma.
- Saturday, Aug. 8: Aviators and MrBeast socks are the scheduled giveaway against Tacoma.
- Friday, Aug. 14: An Aviators and Raiders branded jersey is scheduled for the Sacramento game.
- Saturday, Aug. 15: Fans can receive a Nick Kurtz bobble card, a hybrid bobblehead and baseball-card collectible.
- Friday, Aug. 28: A blue-collar button-down shirt, presented by LiUNA, is scheduled for the Sugar Land series.
For the Aug. 8, Aug. 14, Aug. 15 and Aug. 28 giveaways, the team lists a 5:30 p.m. gate time. The fireworks date on Aug. 7 has a listed 6 p.m. gate opening. Translation: do not roll in during the third inning and expect the promotional item to be waiting. Popular ballpark gear can disappear quickly.
Daily promotions fill the rest of the calendar
The Aviators also have recurring promotions tied to days of the week. Tuesday games on Aug. 4, Aug. 11 and Aug. 25 feature Copa de la Diversión, when the club plays under its Reyes de Plata identity. Wednesday games bring Bark on the Berm, subject to the team’s requirements for dogs and their owners.
Thursday games on Aug. 6, Aug. 13 and Aug. 27 feature $2 beer in the plaza from 6 to 8 p.m., according to the daily promotions calendar. Sundays are promoted as family days, including an opportunity for children to run the bases after the game.

What fans should know before heading to the park

The team’s game-day guide identifies the main free fan parking area as the lot east of the ballpark off Spruce Goose Street. Downtown Summerlin valet serves as the official rideshare location. Even with free parking available, arriving early is the smart play on fireworks and giveaway nights. Nobody wants to be circling the lot while the first pitch crosses the plate.
August heat is another factor. Most games begin after sunset approaches, but Las Vegas does not suddenly turn into San Diego at 7 p.m. Dress for the conditions, stay hydrated and review the venue’s current entry policies before heading out.
