Metallica is scheduled to play Sphere on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, putting a major concert on Halloween night in Las Vegas. Downtown, Fremont Street Experience plans a free, all-ages Halloween celebration, while Springs Preserve’s family-friendly Haunted Harvest runs Oct. 22-25, the weekend before.
The calendar offers distinct options, not one citywide event. Metallica’s Halloween show is part of its Life Burns Faster residency. Fremont Street’s Costumes Under The Canopy brings costumes, live entertainment and a contest to downtown. Haunted Harvest is an earlier-season event, so it won’t be running on Halloween night.
Metallica’s No Repeat Weekend Lands on Halloween
Metallica’s residency pairs Thursday and Saturday performances as No Repeat Weekends, with no songs repeated across each two-show weekend, according to Sphere’s event information. The Halloween date is the Saturday performance of the Oct. 29 and 31 pairing.
Sphere is at 255 Sands Ave., near The Venetian. The venue’s official visit-planning page has maps, directions, parking details and mobile-ticket information. Concert dates, prices and availability can change, so check the event listing before setting out.
More than the show is on Metallica’s calendar
The band’s official Las Vegas event information also lists a Metallica pop-up shop and fan experience at The Venetian Resort, plus a Black Box event at The Palazzo on Friday, Oct. 30. Those are separate from the Sphere concert, and details can vary by activity. Check the band’s event page for current hours and entry information before making them part of your plan.
For fans, that gives the weekend more than one Metallica stop. For everyone else, it is a heads-up that Halloween plans are spread across venues, not concentrated in one spot.
Fremont Street Brings Costumes and Live Entertainment Downtown
Fremont Street Experience’s Costumes Under The Canopy is scheduled for Oct. 31 and is listed as free, with all ages welcome. The program includes live entertainment and a costume contest at 10 p.m. on the Third Street Stage.
There’s one important age distinction: the general event welcomes all ages, but contestants in the costume contest must be 21 or older. Contest registration is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. behind the Third Street Stage. The event page lists cash prizes of up to $5,000, along with Halloween performances and photo opportunities.
In other words, families can enjoy the downtown celebration, but the contest has its own rules. Check the event page for updates before heading out in full costume.
Haunted Harvest Is the Weekend Before Halloween
Springs Preserve’s Haunted Harvest is scheduled for Oct. 22-25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The outdoor event is billed as family-friendly and includes trick-or-treat stations, live entertainment and a spooky garden walk.
Reservations are required, and tickets are tied to a selected date and entry time. The Preserve says attendance is limited, and its event page lists some time slots as sold out or with limited availability. Check the live ticket page before making the trip; availability can change.
This is a good pick for a Halloween-season outing, but not a same-night alternative to Metallica or Fremont Street. Its dates wrap up six days before Halloween.
Choose Your Halloween Plan, Then Check the Details
For Oct. 31, the clearest confirmed choices are Metallica at Sphere and the free downtown celebration at Fremont Street Experience. Haunted Harvest offers a family-friendly option in the run-up to the holiday. Each has different dates, entry rules and locations, so build the plan around the specific event you want.
Check official pages for ticket status, hours and any changes before leaving. Las Vegas has the soundtrack, the costumes and the pumpkins covered. Just don’t show up at the Preserve expecting Haunted Harvest on Halloween night.
