Luke Combs’ Category 10 is set to open at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Flamingo Las Vegas, bringing a three-story country music, dining and nightlife venue to the Strip. The opening announcement from Caesars Entertainment also laid out a four-day launch celebration, with live performances, giveaways and free line dancing through Sunday, Oct. 18.

The venue occupies about 34,000 square feet at the Flamingo, at 3555 Las Vegas Boulevard South. The property is on the Strip, not at Horseshoe Las Vegas. Category 10 is a Luke Combs-inspired concept owned and operated by Opry Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of Ryman Hospitality Properties.

For visitors, the near-term news is simple: the opening date is now set, and the first weekend has a published lineup. The bigger footprint is built for more than a quick drink. It brings bars, dining, stages, line dancing and a rooftop together under one roof, right in the middle of the Strip.

What’s planned for opening weekend?

Category 10’s opening celebration runs from Thursday, Oct. 15, through Sunday, Oct. 18. On opening day, country artist Dingo is scheduled to appear. The first 50 guests to enter can take part in a raffle for five pairs of boots, according to the announcement.

Free line dancing and performances by TJ Favella, Desert Heat and DJ Eric Rhodes are planned during the opening celebration. The announcement does not specify performance times for each act, so guests should check Category 10’s official site for the latest schedule before heading over.

That gives the launch a country-music focus from day one, but the venue is designed to operate beyond a single opening event. Its first-floor hall is slated to host curated artist lineups and free line-dancing lessons. The company describes live music as a regular part of the experience.

Giveaways, dancing and live music

Category 10 has also announced Las Vegas merchandise, including a poster offer for customers who spend $60 through opening weekend. A separate Las Vegas getaway sweepstakes is open through Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Its advertised prize includes round-trip airfare, a two-night Flamingo stay and a VIP dinner for two at Category 10. The venue’s official sweepstakes page has the entry details and terms.

These launch offers are limited-time promotions, not a permanent part of the venue’s schedule. For the opening weekend, though, they give fans a few extra reasons to stop in. The main draw is the venue itself, with multiple spaces aimed at different parts of a night out.

Inside the three-story venue

Category 10 covers approximately 34,000 square feet across three stories and is reported to have 800 seats. The venue includes seven interior bars, two stages, a retail area and a rooftop measuring about 3,000 square feet. The rooftop is designed to offer views of the Strip.

The first-floor Hurricane Hall is the main dining and performance space. It includes three bars, a central stage and dance floor, plus a light and sound setup. Category 10 says the room will host live music and line-dancing lessons.

Also on the first floor, the Beautiful Crazy Women’s Lounge is located just outside the women’s restroom. The planned lounge includes a champagne bar, seating and makeup counters. Upstairs, The Still is a bourbon-focused space with a patio, while the third-floor Eye Rooftop is planned with a bar, DJ booth and dance floor.

A separate Hurricane Bar is positioned for visitors walking along the Strip and the LINQ Promenade. It is designed as a walk-up stop for frozen and signature cocktails, including drinks to take away.

Food and drinks with a Combs connection

The announced menu includes dishes inspired by Combs’ Appalachian upbringing. Listed items include Carolina Smoked Ribs, Deep Sea Señorita Shrimp Skewers, a Smoky Mountain Chicken Sandwich and Carolina Bar-B-Que Chicken Flatbread. The drinks lineup is slated to include cocktails, frozen drinks, beer and wine, with select cocktails served in souvenir cups.

The concept takes its name from Combs’ song “Hurricane.” Category 10’s first location is in Nashville, and the Las Vegas venue is the brand’s second location. The Las Vegas design brings several elements together in a single building, from a dining hall and performance space to quieter lounge areas and a rooftop bar.

Why the location matters

Flamingo sits in the center of the Strip, and Category 10’s address puts it directly on Las Vegas Boulevard. The location makes it part of a resort that already draws hotel guests, diners and people moving between nearby attractions. It also puts the venue’s walk-up bar close to the LINQ Promenade.

That setting is part of the pitch, but the venue’s draw will come down to what it offers inside. Category 10 has announced daily curated performances at Hurricane Hall, alongside dining, bars, line dancing and rooftop space. Its opening weekend will provide the first public look at how those pieces work together.

The announcement confirms an opening date and launch activities, but it does not give a full schedule of future performers or ongoing event times. Those details can change, so visitors planning around a particular act should check the venue’s current listings before making plans.

Las Vegas has a new country-music address on the calendar. Category 10 opens Oct. 15 at Flamingo, with four days of opening events and a full three-story setup built to keep the music, food and dancing in one place.
