Every great Strip night needs a starting point that is not a nightclub line. ARIA is bringing one back. Alibi Cocktail Social, the lounge at the center of ARIA's casino floor, is listed as closed right now on the resort's official site, and that same page posts a new set of hours beginning Friday, November 13. When it reopens, it will not ease back in. A DJ plays every single night.

That nightly DJ is the detail most lounge announcements skip. Alibi's posted schedule puts a DJ on at 9 p.m. seven nights a week, not just on weekends, and the room stays open until 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. EDM reported on November 3 that the lounge closed earlier this year and returns November 13 with a 1920s theme, and ARIA's own page describes the inspiration as the mystery and quiet rebellion of the Prohibition era, built around timeless cocktails and craftsmanship.

A DJ Every Night, Not Just on Weekends

Here is the full posted schedule, straight from ARIA's official Alibi page:

NightLounge hoursDJ hours
Sunday to Thursday5 p.m. to 2 a.m.9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Friday and Saturday5 p.m. to 3 a.m.9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

That structure changes how you can use the room. On a Tuesday, most Strip lounges are a quiet drink and a television over the bar. At Alibi, Tuesday gets the same 9 p.m. DJ start as Saturday, just with a 2 a.m. close instead of 3 a.m. If your group wants music and energy without committing to a full nightclub, a weeknight visit gets you the real version of the room, likely with an easier time finding seats at the center-of-the-floor bar.

Why the Casino Floor Spot Matters

Alibi sits at the center of ARIA's casino floor, at 3730 South Las Vegas Boulevard, and ARIA calls it the resort's vibrant social hub, designed for spontaneous celebrations, hushed conversations, and nights with no schedule. That location is the practical win. You do not need a separate trip, a rideshare, or a plan across town. Dinner at ARIA, a lap around the casino floor, and a first round at Alibi all happen inside one building.

The timing matters too. MGM Resorts pointed guests this week to Alibi, Easy's Cocktail Lounge, and Lift Bar as ARIA's nightlife options, with Alibi opening November 13. That gives the resort a fresh lounge in place ahead of a busy race weekend stretch on the Strip, when every central bar seat gets harder to claim. Arriving before the 9 p.m. DJ start is the simple move that beats the late crowd.

How to Plan Your First Visit

  1. Pick your night by the close, not the open. Every night opens at 5 p.m. Weeknights close at 2 a.m., and weekends run to 3 a.m., so save Friday or Saturday for the long version.
  2. Be in the room before 9 p.m. The DJ starts at 9 p.m. nightly, and the center-floor location fills once the music does.
  3. Call ahead with questions. ARIA lists Alibi's information line as 702.426.1294.
  4. Make it the first stop, not the last. Alibi joins Easy's Cocktail Lounge and Lift Bar at ARIA, so you can build a full lounge night inside one resort without ever leaving the building.

Starting November 13, your night at ARIA has an alibi again: a DJ seven nights a week, a Prohibition-inspired cocktail program, and a spot dead center on one of the Strip's busiest casino floors.
