Jewel Nightclub at Aria is getting one last race weekend, and then the lights go out for good.
MGM Resorts announced Monday that the club will close permanently after business on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026. The announcement was short enough to fit on an index card: "Jewel Nightclub at Aria will close permanently after business Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026. There are no immediate plans for the space."
Jewel is operated by Tao Group Hospitality in partnership with MGM Resorts International, and the two sides mutually agreed to close the club, ending a ten-year run on the Las Vegas Strip.

A Decade at Aria
Jewel opened on May 19, 2016, taking over the room that had been Haze Nightclub. Hakkasan Group launched the club, and it became part of Tao Group Hospitality after Tao acquired Hakkasan Group in 2021.
The club covers more than 24,000 square feet across two levels inside Aria, which opened in December 2009. Jewel is the second major nightclub Aria has lost since then.
By this year, the room that once ran near the top of the Strip nightlife pack had cut back to a couple of nights a week, and plenty of locals greeted Monday's news with the same reaction: they had assumed it might already be gone.

One Last Race Weekend
The send-off could not be timed bigger. Jewel's final weekend lands on Las Vegas Grand Prix race weekend, the loudest weekend of the year on the Strip.
According to the club's own schedule, Murphi Kennedy plays Friday, Nov. 20, and Kid Conrad takes the final night on Saturday, Nov. 21, after the race.
After that, the room goes dark.

What Happens to the Room
For now, nothing. MGM says there are no immediate plans for the space, and its release did not say how many workers are affected by the closure.
MGM pointed guests toward Aria's other nightlife options: Easy's Cocktail Lounge, Lift Bar, and Alibi Cocktail Social, which is set to open on Friday, Nov. 13.
Strip nightlife never sits still. Rooms that defined a decade give way to whatever comes next, and Jewel at least gets to say goodbye on the biggest night of the year, at full volume, with the whole city watching.
