XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas has been dark since August 1, and the wait ends in two days. Wynn Nightlife reopens the club on Thursday, November 5, after what it calls a complete reimagining, and it is not easing back in. The reopening runs four straight nights, each one headlined by an act that helped build the room's reputation during its first 17 years.
Here is the fresh insight for regulars: this is the club's first top-to-bottom overhaul since it opened on New Year's Eve 2008. During the closure, Wynn Nightlife shifted its DJs, artists, and events outdoors to Encore Beach Club at Night. On Thursday, all of that energy moves back inside a rebuilt room with refreshed interiors and new production technology.
Four Nights, Four Different Bets
Each reopening night offers a different sound, so pick by the music you actually want, not just by the date.
| Night | Headliner | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday, Nov. 5 | RÜFÜS DU SOL (DJ set) | Opening night in the rebuilt room |
| Friday, Nov. 6 | The Chainsmokers | Longtime XS residents back for the new era |
| Saturday, Nov. 7 | Calvin Harris | His XS history dates to his early Las Vegas residency years |
| Sunday, Nov. 8 | Diplo B2B Hugel | Two DJs sharing one booth to close the run |
Adam Norotsky, VP of Wynn Nightlife, framed the reopening this way: "XS has always represented the intersection of exceptional entertainment, design, and hospitality, and this new era is an opportunity to build upon that legacy." He added: "As we look toward reopening weekend, our goal is to create the next evolution of XS while preserving the energy and experience that have made it such an iconic nightlife destination."
The Acts Are Talking Like Homecomings
The lineup was chosen from the club's own history, and the artists are saying so. The Chainsmokers said: "We've had some of our favorite nights at XS over the years, and Wynn has been such an important part of our journey." Calvin Harris said: "I've played some incredible nights at XS, and it's always been one of my favorite places to play in Las Vegas." Diplo went furthest: "XS feels like home to me, it's probably the place I've played the most times ever."
Diplo also gave the reopening its strangest promotion. On October 17, he ran a mile on the roof of Encore to promote the club's return, a stunt CDC Gaming highlighted in its November 3 coverage of the reopening.
How to Play Reopening Weekend
- Choose your night first. Thursday is the only first look at the redesign; Saturday with Calvin Harris will likely draw the biggest crowd of the four nights.
- Book through Wynn Nightlife. Tickets and table information for XS shows are sold through Wynn Nightlife's own site, so start there instead of resale listings.
- Locals, consider Sunday. The Diplo B2B Hugel closer lands on a Sunday night, when Strip crowds usually thin compared with Friday and Saturday.
- Missed the club this fall? Remember it never fully left: its programming ran at Encore Beach Club at Night during the closure, so the resident crowd returns already warmed up.
Seventeen years after its debut, XS is betting that a ground-up rebuild plus four proven headliners can start a second era. Thursday night, Las Vegas finds out.
